Our most popular English programme for teenagers is at the Irish College of English (ICE) — an independent, award-winning English language school established in 1992. The main centre is located on Dublin’s beautiful coastline in the seaside village of Malahide.

ICE is recognised by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), and is a member of English Education Ireland (EEI), an organisation that promotes quality education in Ireland and provides learner protection. Every year, they welcome students from over 30 countries to their adult and junior programmes.

For the past ten years, Speakeasy has successfully sent students to Malahide to enjoy their summer homestay programme. All host families live within walking distance of ICE, and the homestay experience allows students to fully immerse themselves in the language and culture, making the most of their time abroad.

Students are carefully matched with families who provide a nutritious breakfast, packed lunch, and evening meal. In addition to fun and dynamic English classes in the mornings, students take part in organised afternoon activities, and on Saturdays, they enjoy excursions to nearby attractions such as Dublin Zoo, Kilkenny, and the lakes of Glendalough.

ICE also offers homestays combined with sailing or horse-riding courses for students who want to mix English language learning with something more adventurous. In addition, ICE provides preparation courses for the Cambridge English exams.
